The Lincoln Square Farmer’s Market is still running, you guys. Tuesday mornings from 7am-noonish through November 24. It’s a much smaller market, but you can still buy homemade bread and pasta, pies, pork, beef, chicken, fresh eggs, and lamb, cheese, mushrooms, fresh-made tomato sauces and salsa, apples and cider, and winter produce like squash, pumpkins, turnips, potatoes, and beets. Yesterday I picked up pork chops, cider, apples, cheddar, and a loaf of whole-wheat challah sweetened with honey for about $25.
This morning I scrambled some eggs with fresh herbs (parsley & chives), a chopped shallot, and some grated sheep’s milk cheese and garnished them with leftover basil-fennel pesto from Pastoral.
